Please reach us at info@talieacreative.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Taliea Creative specializes in supporting independent and self-publishing authors across a variety of genres, including fiction and nonfiction. Whether this is your first book or your fifth, I provide thoughtful, detail-driven editorial support tailored to your goals.
I offer three primary levels of manuscript support: Proofreading (final grammar, spelling, and consistency polish), Line Editing (clarity, flow, tone, and readability improvements), and Developmental Editing (big-picture feedback on structure, pacing, and organization). If you’re unsure which service you need, I’m happy to review a sample and recommend the best fit.
Proofreading focuses on correcting surface-level issues such as grammar, punctuation, spelling, and minor inconsistencies. Line editing goes deeper by improving sentence flow, clarity, tone, and readability while preserving your unique voice. If your manuscript hasn’t had a professional edit yet, line editing is often the better starting point.
No. Taliea Creative focuses exclusively on authors and publishing-focused projects. I do not accept academic student papers, essays for coursework, or homework assignments.
Turnaround time depends on manuscript length, service level, and current schedule. Typical timelines are: Proofreading (7–14 business days), Line editing (10–18 business days), and Developmental editing (2–4 weeks). You will receive a specific delivery estimate when booking.
Most manuscript services are priced based on word count and level of editing. Smaller projects and consultations may be billed hourly. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your project slot, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
Yes. For book projects, I can review a short sample (typically 1–2 pages) to recommend the appropriate service, confirm fit, and provide an accurate quote.
My role is to edit and strengthen your existing work, not ghostwrite or fully rewrite manuscripts. Any suggested rewrites within line editing are light and intended to preserve your voice.
No editor can ethically guarantee publication, agent representation, or book sales. What I do guarantee is careful, professional editorial work designed to help your manuscript present at its strongest possible level.
Most clients submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), which is preferred, or Google Docs. Edits are typically delivered using tracked changes and comments.
Visit talieacreative.com, submit your project details, receive your custom quote and timeline, and secure your slot with the deposit. From there, we begin refining your story and elevating your voice.
